Cedar expanded school’s infrastructure

With increasing enrolment, Southern Weekly Hope Primary School in Yudu County started to suffer from a lack of teaching staff, space to accommodate students and venues for sport activities like campus. Cedar Foundation joined forces with Southern Weekly Foundation to raise fund for school infrastructure renovation and expansion, teaching skills improvement and all-round development of the teaching staff.

With the help of Cedar, the campus has taken on a completely different look. The brand-new public toilets have been put into use. The new sports ground and the endless runway is taking shape.

Meanwhile, more and more teachers have been sent out for professional skills training. As of September 2018, altogether 18 full-time teachers from Southern Weekly Hope Primary School have been sent to Northeast Normal University and Gannan Normal University. More teachers are expected to receive training in different places of China for better educational capability.
